How to set it up
- Sign in at app.devin.ai and connect your GitHub, GitLab or other repo host.
- Configure the Devin environment (dependencies, test command) and add repo notes such as an AGENTS.md.
- Start with one small, well-defined ticket that has clear success criteria such as passing tests.
- Review the pull request like any teammate's, then scale up to parallel sessions.
Heads up: Cognition's docs say Devin handles most tasks except extremely difficult ones, and give a rule of thumb: if you could do it in about three hours, Devin can most likely do it. Break bigger work into smaller sessions.
