Privacy Policy
BotPickr (botpickr.com)
Effective date: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Web Guy Nick LLC ("BotPickr," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you use botpickr.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in Rialto, California. If you have a question, email hello@botpickr.com.
1. The short version
- BotPickr is a directory. We collect only what we need to run it: your email if you join the newsletter, what you send through our forms, and basic technical logs.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not run ad networks on the Site.
- We do not use analytics today. If we add it later, we will update this page first.
- You can unsubscribe, ask what we have, or ask us to delete it at any time.
2. Information we collect
What you give us
- Newsletter signup. Your email address, the date and time you joined, the page you joined from, and a random unsubscribe code we create for you.
- Submit-a-listing form. Your name, email, and the details you give about the bot, agent, or template (such as its name, link, description, and any logo or images).
- Sponsor inquiry form. Your name, company, email, and the message you write.
- Email. Anything you send to hello@botpickr.com.
- Quiz. Your quiz answers stay in your browser. We do not send or save them on our servers. (If you join the newsletter from the quiz results, we save only your email and the fact that you joined from the quiz page.)
What is collected automatically
- Anti-spam limits. To block spam on our forms, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to 24 hours, only to count how many times it submitted a form recently. We do not store your plain IP address with your signup or form entry.
- Server logs. Our host keeps standard logs, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time. We use them to keep the Site running and secure.
- Cookies and similar tools. See section 5.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, health information, or other sensitive information through the Site. Please do not send them.
3. How we use information
- to run, secure, and improve the Site
- to send the newsletter and other emails you asked for
- to review submitted listings and answer sponsor inquiries
- to reply to your messages
- to keep records, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet legal duties
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Email and CAN-SPAM
If you sign up for the newsletter, we will use your email to send updates and links to new listings and templates. Every marketing email will include a clear way to unsubscribe, our contact details, and an accurate sender and subject line, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. We process unsubscribe requests promptly, within 10 business days at the latest. You can also email hello@botpickr.com and ask to be removed. We may still send you messages about a sponsorship or an inquiry you started.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Site does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics tools. Our host and the Site may set or use only what is needed to deliver pages and keep the Site secure.
If we add analytics, an email service, or another tool that sets cookies or tracks activity later, we will update this policy before or when we do, and we will describe what the tool collects. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Where the law requires us to honor such a signal, we will.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as needed:
- Hosting and form storage. The Site is hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger processes server logs and the data needed to serve the Site. Our newsletter signups, submit-a-listing entries, and sponsor inquiries are stored in private files on our Hostinger hosting account. We do not use a separate third-party form tool today.
- Email service provider. We plan to use an email service provider to send the newsletter. When we do, your email address and signup details will go to that provider so it can deliver our messages. We will name the provider in this policy when it is live.
- Email inbox. Our inbox for messages you send to hello@botpickr.com.
- Professional advisors, and authorities when the law requires it, including to protect our rights, our users, or the Site.
- A buyer, if we sell or reorganize the business, under the same privacy protections.
If we publish part of a listing you submitted (for example its name and description), that part becomes public on the Site.
Links on the Site go to other websites and tools. They have their own privacy practices. Read their policies before you share information with them. Some links are affiliate links. If you click one, the other site may set its own cookies or learn that you came from BotPickr.
7. How long we keep information
- Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Listing submissions and sponsor inquiries: while a listing or sponsorship is active, and for up to 3 years after, to handle questions and keep business records.
- Emails to us: usually up to 3 years.
- Server logs: as long as our host keeps them, usually for a short period.
- Tax and accounting records: as long as the law requires.
We then delete or de-identify the information, unless we must keep it.
8. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you live in California, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you, and get a copy
- delete personal information we collected from you, with some legal exceptions
- correct inaccurate personal information
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share it)
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it for any purpose other than providing the Site)
- not be treated unfairly for using these rights
To use a right, email hello@botpickr.com from the address we have on file, and tell us what you want. We may ask you to confirm it is you. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written proof they can act for you. We will respond within the time California law gives us.
We collect these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address), commercial and business information you send in forms, and internet activity (server logs). We collect them from you and from your browser. We use them for the business purposes in section 3. We disclose them to the kinds of recipients in section 6. In the past 12 months we have not sold or shared personal information.
If we later meet the size or data thresholds that make certain CCPA duties apply to us, we will follow them. Until then, we honor these requests as a matter of good practice.
California residents may also ask which categories of personal information we shared with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not share it for that purpose.
9. Children
The Site is for people 16 and older, and it is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires. If you think a child under 13 sent us personal information, email hello@botpickr.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including HTTPS and the safeguards of our host. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we learn of a breach that the law says we must report, we will notify the people affected as the law requires.
11. Visitors outside the United States
The Site is run from the United States for a U.S. audience. If you visit from another country, your information will be handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will tell newsletter subscribers by email or post a notice on the Site.
