Build me a learning plan. Topic or skill: [WHAT I WANT TO LEARN] Why: [GOAL, e.g. use it at work, build a project, pass an exam] Current level: [BEGINNER / SOME EXPERIENCE / INTERMEDIATE, plus what I already know] Time available: [HOURS PER WEEK] for [NUMBER] weeks How I learn best: [e.g. reading, videos, hands-on, with a partner] Constraints: [BUDGET, EQUIPMENT, SCHEDULE] Return: 1. A one-paragraph definition of "done": what I should be able to do at the end. 2. A week-by-week plan: goal, 2 to 4 specific practice tasks with estimated time, and a checkpoint that shows I got it. 3. One mini project that uses what I learn and fits my time. 4. Five self-test questions for the middle and the end. 5. Common beginner mistakes to avoid. 6. What to review if I fall behind, so I can catch up in one week. Rules: - Do not invent course names, books, authors, links or statistics. Describe the kind of resource to look for (for example "the official beginner tutorial"). If you do name a specific one, mark it [VERIFY] so I check it exists. - Keep the total weekly time within my hours. - Ask me up to three questions first if my goal or level is unclear.

Learning plan builder
A realistic weekly plan for learning a skill, with practice tasks, checkpoints, a mini project and no invented resources.
Who it is for
Anyone learning a new skill (a tool, a language, a trade topic) who wants a plan that fits their time instead of a long list of links.
How to use it
- Say what you want to learn, your level, your hours per week and your deadline.
- Read the plan and cut anything that does not fit your week.
- Look up any resource the assistant suggests before relying on it.
- Check in after week one and ask it to adjust the plan.
The template
Example
An illustrative example written by BotPickr for a fictional business. It is not a real model run, so your own output will differ.
Example input
Topic: build simple automations in n8n. Why: save time on my small business email. Level: beginner, I use Gmail and spreadsheets. Time: 4 hours per week for 4 weeks. Learns best: hands-on. Constraints: free plan or self-hosted only.
Example output
Done means: you have one working workflow that summarizes your unread email each morning and sends you the result, and you know how to check why a run failed. Week 1 goal: understand triggers, nodes and executions. Tasks: read the official getting-started guide (1 hr); build a workflow that runs on a schedule and sends you a test message (1.5 hr); break it on purpose and read the execution log (1 hr). Checkpoint: you can explain what each node did.
Guardrails and human approval
- Treat the plan as a draft. You know your time and level better than the assistant does.
- Check any named resource before you rely on it, and look for the official documentation of any tool you are learning.
- For health, legal, safety or financial topics, learn from qualified sources.
These are practical notes, not legal advice. Templates are provided as is. See section 4 of the Terms.
Works with
- ChatGPT, Claude, Grok: Paste it as your message, then add your own details where the [BRACKETS] are.
- Custom GPTs, Claude Projects, Grok or other assistant projects: Paste it into the instructions or project instructions field if you want to reuse it. Check that your plan includes that feature.
- n8n, Zapier, Make and other automation tools: Use it as the system message or prompt of an AI step. Keep a person approving anything that gets sent or posted.
We have not benchmarked output quality across models. Output varies by model and by what you paste in, so read it before you use it.
