SOP writer: turn rough notes into a standard procedure
Convert an owner's rough description of a task into a numbered standard operating procedure with checkpoints, common mistakes and open questions.
Who it is for
Owners who hold the process in their head and want a written procedure for training, hand-offs or quality, without the AI inventing steps.
How to use it
- Describe the task the way you would explain it to a new hire. Messy is fine.
- Name who does each step, and what tools are used.
- Read the SOP and the list of open questions. Answer them and re-run.
- Have someone who has never done the task follow it once and fix what confuses them.
The template
Free with your name and email. Enter them to show the full template text and a worked example on this page. It costs nothing.
How this works: the template text is not in this page. It is stored on our server and sent to you after you submit the form. We do not verify your email, so this is a soft gate that runs on trust. Your name and email are saved to the BotPickr email list. See the Privacy Policy.

Guardrails and human approval
- Never paste passwords, alarm codes or customer data.
- A person who does the task should test the SOP before you rely on it.
- For safety-critical, regulated or medical tasks, have a qualified person review the SOP.
- Keep the SOP current, and name an owner for it.
These are practical notes, not legal advice. Templates are provided as is. See section 4 of the Terms.
Works with
- ChatGPT, Claude, Grok: Paste it as your message, then add your own details where the [BRACKETS] are.
- Custom GPTs, Claude Projects, Grok or other assistant projects: Paste it into the instructions or project instructions field if you want to reuse it. Check that your plan includes that feature.
- n8n, Zapier, Make and other automation tools: Use it as the system message or prompt of an AI step. Keep a person approving anything that gets sent or posted.
We have not benchmarked output quality across models. Output varies by model and by what you paste in, so read it before you use it.
